'Run to the Roadhouse' a CD by Cavender
worth hearing
If samples mean anything, Rick Cavender has a winner in this CD,
Run to the Roadhouse. The songs and music are dynamite. Let me share Rick's
letter with you: "We just finished a six month long project at BGM Studios
with Bill and Debbie Green. What a wonderful experience it was to work with
such fine people.
"Musicians include Bobby Flores on guitar, fiddle and vocals, Randy Reinhardt
on keyboards, Alan Chapman, bass, Al Gomez Jr. with Rene Saenz and Jim Waller
on horns. Jerod Green plays drums. My band is featured on Down In Birmingham
‚Paul McLaughlin on guitar, Pete Williams on bass and Joe Grist on drums.
Don Forres also sings with us.
"If people are interested in a copy please e-mail inquires to me at rick@rickcavenderband.com.
Thanks, Rick, for the information. The CD is awesome.

"Rick Cavender's band is local (San
Antonio), but so good you'll wonder why they're not international. He
specializes in country and western but does one of the best impersonations
of Elvis Presley I've seen. What I appreciate the most about him is that
he is completely dependable and is so very sensitive to his audiences
reactions that they'd keep him there all night if possible."

and in my book simply can't be topped. Thank you for sending our convention

| "You and Your
Band were instrumental in the overall success of The Cattle Barons
Gala which raised a record $316,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Get ready for your phone to start ringing. George Strait has agreed
to perform for next year's gala and we would like for you to perform
if your schedule will permit." |

| "Your personal
warmth and magnetic personality heated up a cold evening and really
got things going at the "Zoobilation Gala's Night Of The Cajun Moon.
All I can say is, move over George Strait, here comes Rick Cavender." |

"Many thanks for helping to make our 50th reunion such a memorable one. You and your bans are wonderful entertainers and inspire joy – and movement – even in these old bones! We had a ball dancing to your music. You certainly did a lot to help make it such a fun time." |

"Another great performance at the “Night at the AlaMowtown” gala!! You helped make the event a huge success. The gift of your time and talent is deeply appreciated by the staff and Board of Directors of the Ella Austin Community Center and by the people they serve. Thank you again for your participation and for going that extra mile." |

"Well the dust has settled, some sleep has been recovered, the bills are paid and although I have said thank you a couple of times I had to take another moment to tell you how great your performance was and how much the RYLA kids enjoyed it. It was neat seeing this age kid, not even born when the music was around, reacting the way they did and dancing in the aisles. THANK YOU and your group for supporting RYLA and we look forward to your being with us for next year’s conference. Thanks again for your Rotary spirit." |

"We write to thank you for the magnificent work and support you and the band gave to make the First Annual 100 Club Gala possible and successful. Your great energy and super choice of music really touched so many and worked healing to all of us in a very troubled time. The Gala was a great success and raised over $20,000 for the widows and children of fallen firefighters and peace officers. We hope you and the band will take great satisfaction in knowing you had a great part in making it so." |
